Paris Saint-Germain faced Celtic in the Champions League on Tuesday, and the £198m man's behaviour left nobody indifferent.

The world's most expensive player clashed with Celtic's 18-year-old full-back Anthony Ralston, before snubbing the youngster's handshake at the final whistle.

After centre-back Lustig criticised Neymar's tendency to go to ground, Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers said he was disappointed at the Brazil international.

'It's a pity. I've spoke of my admiration for Neymar but it would have been nice if he could have recognised an 18-year-old coming up against himself, a top-class player', Rodgers pointed out.

'Maybe he just feels that when he comes to Celtic Park, a hostile ground, it's a difficult place for him to come'.

Ralston, who was making his European debut and only his fifth competitive start for Celtic, was mocked by Neymar after the pair clashed repeatedly, the Brazilian forward raising three fingers at him to remind Ralston of the score at that point.

Rodgers believes Neymar showed a 'lack of humility' that is missing in high-profile players, and which could set him apart: 'The friendships aren't quite there but it could have been nice for him to acknowledge the young guy because he is a sensational player'.

'That sort of mark of class is always good when high-level players can show that bit of humility', the Celtic boss concluded.
