Ayoze Perez's departure to Leicester City has left a deep scar in Newcastle. So much so that Newcastle club owner says he has learnt from his mistakes and has promised he will now set higher buyout clauses for his players to prevent the talent exodus.

The Magpies owner has made it crystal clear for anyone interested in his player: he will not be letting them leave for a smaller price anymore.

Mike Ashley gave an interview to the Daily Mail where he admitted it was hard to see his star player go to Leicester for only 30 million pounds (33 million euros).

Ashley consider Ayoze was worth a lot more, but he claims to have learned his lesson after the painful exit; he has vouched to increase his players' buyout clauses.

Lastly, he also justified his highly criticised decision of letting Rafa Benitez leave by charging against the renowned coach: "for Benitez, it was money first and Newcastle last".
