Roma coach Jose Mourinho was sent off in Tuesday's 2-1 defeat to Cremonese after a clash with the fourth official. After the match, the Portuguese explained to 'DAZN' microphones that the assistant had spoken to him in an "unjustifiable" manner and said he would try to obtain the audios.
"I need to know if there are audio recordings of what he said to me. I don't want to go into the thing that he is from Torino and we are playing Juve this matchday and he wants me off the bench," said Mourinho.
"I have to know if I can do something from a legal point of view, because the referee sent me off because the fourth official told him to do so. Unfortunately, the fourth official didn't have the honesty to tell his colleague what he said to me, the way he said it to me and the way he treated me, which obviously triggered my reaction," he added.
"People who have known me for many years know that I'm emotional, but I'm not crazy. And to have had a reaction like the one I had, it's because something happened," explained the coach from Setubal, who was sent off in the 47th minute.
"It may be the first time in my career that a fourth official has spoken to me in an unjustifiable way," he said. "I went to the referees' dressing room when the match was over. I had the good fortune that Piccinini - the main referee - was the fourth official in a game where I was sent off for bad-mouthing the referee, and he saw me go down to the dressing room and apologise to him on his day. Piccinini saw me come in and say to the fourth man: 'I want you to be honest and say what happened,'" he said.
