Alvaro Morata will miss the next two Serie A matches. The striker was sent off after the draw with Benevento and his suspension was increased by a match because of disrespectful conduct towards the referee.

Juventus will be without Alvaro Morata in Serie A until 16th December. The Spanish striker has been given a two match suspension after seeing a red card away to Benevento.

Morata, who has scored eight goals in 11 matches this season, was punished for "using a disrespectful expression to the referee on the pitch after the match", Serie A's statement reads.

The Juventus '9', who has put his team ahead at Benevento, lost his cool once the final whistle went. The game ended 1-1.

Seconds after the referee blew for full-time, Morata insulted him and he was immediately sent off.

The 28 year-old striker, who returned to Juventus in the summer from Atletico Madrid, will miss the Turin derby against Torino on Saturday and Genoa away on 13th December.

He will be available for selection by Andrea Pirlo for Juventus' tricky fixture with Atalanta on 16th December.
