Alvaro Morata could return to action against Roma in the Champions League on Wednesday as Chelsea attempt to forget about their lacklustre weekend display at Crystal Palace.
Morata was not fit to play in the shock 2-1 loss to Roy Hodgson's men after picking up a hamstring problem against Manchester City two weeks ago.
But the striker took full part in Blues training on Sunday and skipper Gary Cahill all but confirmed the £70m man is fit to play against Roma.
'He is back out on the pitch and hopefully he keeps progressing okay,' said Cahill.
The news will come as a welcome boost for Chelsea fans, who saw Michy Batshuayi struggle to lead the line against Palace.
He was subsequently taken off just before the hour mark in what was only his second start of the new campaign.
