'BT Sport', with the help of a pitchside microphone, revealed what Alvaro Morata said to the Atletico Madrid fans after his winning goal at Anfield. The striker, after a bad spell, made a gesture of apology and said "to everyone, to everyone."

Morata's return to the scoresheet coincided with a win Atletico desperately needed. He rounded off the victory over Liverpool at Anfield to knock the defending champions out of the Champions League. 'BT Sport' revealed what he said in the celebration.

He ran towards the touchline, where the Atletico Madrid fans were and slid on his knees. He put his hands up to apologise and said "a todos, a todos (to everyone)." He was apologising to all the supporters for his poor performances in recent weeks.

The celebration has become a big part of the club's history. A celebration with anger and euphoria which secured an epic triumph for Simeone's men. It sent them into the quarter-finals at the expense of the reigning champions.

Another thing to add was that Morata was limping when he scored. The footballer had been limping throughout extra-time with problem's in his leg and he finished it off on a counter. It was a goal which rounded off the win and showed that Morata is back.
