AC Milan had to come from behind to rescue a draw against Cagliari on Sunday evening, with striker Gonzlao Higuain on target.

Gennaro Gattuso's men have not had the best start to the season, as they lost out to Napoli in their first game and dropped point against Cagliari in this game.

The home side took the lead on four minutes, when attacking midfielder Joao Pedro managed to strike the ball low under Gianluigi Donnarumma to give his side a surprise lead against the 'Rossinieri'.

Milan then continued to push for a way back in to the game, and went in at the break trailing the side that sit two places ahead of them in the table.

Just 10 minutes in to the second period, their main striker managed to get them back in to the game.

Despite not having scored since completing his loan move from Juventus over the summer, the Argentine was on hand to get his side back in to the game.

Cagliari managed to stay strong despite the advances of the Milanese side, and held out to earn their second draw of the Serie A season, while Milan find themselves far behind the likes of Juventus and Napoli at this early stage of the season.
