Kylian Mbappe saw how France were losing 2-0 against Argentina at half-time in the World Cup final. He tried to get the team to respond with a speech in the dressing room. In images released by 'TF1', Mbappe was visibly angry at how bad his team were playing up to that point. The coach was also far from impressed with the first 45 minutes.

Argentina won the World Cup after a final which went to penalty kicks. Despite the fact Scaloni's men went two goals ahead, Kylian Mbappe completed a hat-trick and sent the game to penalties.

Mbappe was suffering a lot while seeing his team 2-0 down at half-time. So much so that, at half-time, he called for his teammates to get their act together. The attacker spoke and tried to make his teammates realise that there was still time for the then defending champions to fight back.

"It's a World Cup final, it's the game of our lives, we can't play worse," he fumed. In the video broadcast by 'TF1', he is also seen throwing his shirt to the ground in anger.

He felt that the most important game of the season was getting away from him. "They scored two goals, we can also score two. We can come back. Guys, the World Cup is every four years!," he added.

Mbappe went out ready to take charge of things himself and he so nearly did enough to give France the World Cup. He can be delighted with his hat-trick although it proved to be insufficient. After the match, once the raw emotion of the game had calmed down, he wrote a brief message to fans: "We'll be back," he said,
