Martins Indi set for Stoke return
Stoke City are believed to be close to signing Porto defender Bruno Martins Indi on a permanent deal.
The centre-back spent last season on loan with the 'Potters', making 37 appearances in all competitions for Mark Hughes' side.
The club has the option to make the deal permanent at the end of the loan spell, but Stoke baulked at the £13.4m asking price.
This allowed Crystal Palace to steal in and make a bid but 'Sky Sports News' reports that the player did not turn up for a scheduled medical at Selhurst Park.
The same source claims that Stoke have since returned to Porto with a fresh bid, believed to be around the £7.5m mark, with the player expected back in the Potteries in the coming days to complete the deal.
