Marcos Llorente was on top form on Saturday in a training session at Atletico Madrid in which he was on the sidelines, but he gave his all. His chances of being included in Cholo Simeone's next call-ups, but above all in Luis Enrique's squad for the World Cup in Qatar, are increasing by leaps and bounds.

Injured on 4th October, Marcos Llorente, midfielder of the Spanish national team and Atletico Madrid, is finalising his recovery in order to return to competition with the Madrid side and be available for the World Cup in Qatar 2022, as he showed in Saturday's training, in which he exercised on the sidelines, but with changes of pace, speed and shooting the ball.

On a pitch next to the rest of the team, the former Real Madrid player continued his fitness training, now in the final phase, with Jose Ignacio Zahinos, the Atletico physical trainer.

He did various intense exercises, eighteen days after suffering a muscular complaint in the first half of the Champions League match against Bruges at the Jan Breydel stadium.

He will not yet be available this Sunday against Betis at the Benito Villamarin, but the progress of his recovery means that he will soon be available for Diego Simeone and also for the call-up that Luis Enrique Martinez, the Spain national team coach, will offer for the World Cup in Qatar 2022, scheduled for 11th November.
