We take a look ahead to Saturday's Premier League clash between Manchester City and Stoke at the Etihad.

Premier League leaders City will be hoping to build on their strong away win at Chelsea, but will come up against a resilient Stoke side that have already taken points off Manchester United and Arsenal this term.

Manchester City:

Sergio Aguero could make a rapid return to action despite breaking his rib in a car accident just two weeks ago. The player himself has said in a tweet that he is ready, while Pep Guardiola backed up the claim by saying the striker "could" start.

City have no fresh injuries from the international break, meaning only Vincent Kompany (calf) and Benjamin Mendy (knee) miss out.

Stoke:

A major blow for the visitors is that they will be without Joe Allen, after he was concussed following a blow to the head while on international duty with Wales this week.

Defensive duo Ryan Shawcross (back) and Bruno Martins Indi (groin) remain sidelined, while Stephen Ireland continues to recover from a broken leg.

Possible lineups:

Manchester City: Ederson; Walker, Stones, Otamendi, Danilo, Gundogan, Fernandinho, Silva, Sterling, Jesus, Sane

Stoke: Butland, Zouma, Cameron, Wimmer, Diouf, Sobhi, Fletcher, Pieters, Shaqiri, Chuopo-Moting, Berahino
