Manchester City sign Brazilian Douglas Luiz
Manchester City have signed the 19-year-old after the South America U20 championships, where he performed impressively.
Manchester City have signed Vasco da Gama teenager Douglas Luiz for £10.7 million, with the Brazil Under 20 international midfielder is expected to join City's Spanish sister club Girona on loan.
City is taking up a 50 per cent stake in Girona and also plan to loan them Belgium defender Jason Denayer and full-back Pablo Maffeo.
The 19-year-old Douglas, who lept at a chance to move to Europe with City, had signed a contract until 2021 at Vasco, but he has been scouted by City since impressing at the South American U20 Championships.
