Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek was injured three months ago in the Premier League match against Bournemouth and his manager ruled him out for the rest of the season. However, the 26-year-old has provided an update on his recovery process.

Donny van de Beek got his knee injured during Manchester United's win over Bournemouth and Erik ten Hag confirmed at a press conference that he would be out of action for the rest of the season.

The 26-year-old has been sidelined since January but he is progressing well and his recovery process is positive. The Dane gave an update on his injury at an event organised by Manchester United in Singapore.

"I'm busy with my recovery after my injury and everything is going well. It's hard to give you a time but we have to see how everything goes. I'm doing a lot of gym work and getting closer to being on the pitch, which is positive. I'm not far away," he claimed.

"It’s a bit strange, of course you want to be there with the lads but it is what it is so I'm supporting them from the side. My teammates are always asking how everything is, how the knee is. They're really good lads and they support me, so that’s a good feeling."
