Man City to seal Mendy signing
Monaco left-back Benjamin Mendy is very close to becoming a Manchester City man after the two clubs put the finalising touches on the agreement.
Following the departures of Pablo Zabaleta, Gael Clichy and Bacary Sagna, as well as Dani Alves' snub in favour of PSG, the Citizens have been forced into action.
They have identified their target for the right flank, and they have attempted to speed things up for their left-back, which is why negotiations for Benjamin Mendy have made significant progress in the last 24 hours.
The France international is valued at £50 million by Monaco, who are not willing to sell unless they receive an 'exceptional offer', so Guardiola will be expected to up his £40m bid.
Mendy made 39 appearances for Jardim's side last season and is expected to join Guardiola's team before the end of the week.
