Big news in English football. 'TalkSPORT' surprisingly announced Jack Grealish's move to Pep Guardiola's Man City. Man City will get hold of one of the best footballers in the Premier League, who had spent all his career at Aston Villa.
According to the cited media outlet, Man City will pay 100 million pounds to sign the England international.
The signing does not surprise anybody, although it is strange that the Sky Blues are going to spend such an amount of money in times of crisis.
Grealish, a footballer very much to Guardiola's liking, made 27 games for Aston Villa last season, scoring seven goals and getting 10 assists in the process. His good numbers built on the season he burst onto the scene. In 2019-20, he scored 10 goals and got nine assists in 41 matches.
While England teammate Jadon Sancho, seems closer and closer to joining Man Utd, Man City have reportedly decided to make a move for the Villa midfielder.
In the recently finalised Premier League season, Grealish led several key stats tables for a footballer of his position. He was top when it came to key passes, fouls suffered, successful dribbles and attacking duels won. He was also second to Kevin de Bruyne when it came to assists.
He will without doubt be an important player for Man City to reinforce the team when it comes to fighting for a Champions League spot. His arrival could be announced in a matter of hours.
