Manchester City captain Kyle Walker was targeted with racist insults online following the English champions' 2-0 defeat to Juventus on Wednesday in the Champions League. The 34-year-old responded to the derogatory message via an Instagram story posted earlier today.

“No one should ever be subject to the sort of vile, racist and threatening abuse I have received online since last night’s match", Walker wrote as he included a screenshot of what was said by the perpetrator. "Instagram and the authorities need to stop this happening for the sake of all who are suffering this abuse. It is never acceptable.
