Reports in England have suggested that Real Madrid are prepared to pay £307million to sign Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

It has been an ongoing soap opera and it shows no sign of abating anytime soon with recent speculation claiming 'Los Blancos' have stepped up their intent to bag the Brazil international.

The two parties allegedly met following Brazil's 2-0 win over Croatia in Liverpool last Sunday and have drawn up a plan on how to approach negotiations with PSG.

However, the Ligue 1 champions could be more open to the move if Cristiano Ronaldo goes the other way, with the club one of a handful which could afford his extortionate wages and release clause.

If Ronaldo does decide to stay at the Bernabeu, Real would still want to crack on with a transfer for Neymar and are reportedly keen to get a deal done as soon as possible.

The 'Sun' claims that even though Neymar's release clause will decrease by £44m in September, Florentino Perez won't wait to launch a mammoth bid despite the club not even appointing a new head coach yet.
