Who will come out on top on Sunday? AFP

We take a look ahead to Sunday's Premier League clash between Liverpool and Manchester City at Anfield.

Liverpool: Jurgen Klopp's side will welcome back top scorer Mohamed Salah after he sat out their last two games with a groin problem, but the likes of Nathaniel Clyne (back), Jordan Henderson (thigh), Alberto Moreno (ankle) and Daniel Sturridge (muscle problem) will all sit out the game. Defender Virgil van Dijk will also miss out due to a tight hamstring.

Manchester City: Captain Vincent Kompany is a doubt for the game with a calf problem, whilst Phil Foden (ankle), Gabriel Jesus and Bejamin Mendy (both knee) will also watch this one from the sidelines.

Did you know?

Manchester City haven't won at Anfield since May 2003.

The thoughts of Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp:

"It's interesting to play against City. They play really good and if you don't respect that, you have a problem.

"But if you are not brave in your game, you will also have a problem. You need to show up."

The thoughts of Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola:

"Of course if you want to achieve something that's good and win titles you have to win these kind of games.

"This season we were able to do that but we still have to go to Anfield, to Tottenham - there are still lots of games to play.

"But Liverpool is such an important game, to realise again if we are able to do big things in this season, in important stages, in the Champions League."

Form:

Possible lineups:

Liverpool: Mignolet, Gomez, Matip, Lovren, Robertson, Can, Wijnaldum, Lallana, Salah, Firmino, Mane.

Manchester City: Ederson, Walker, Stones, Otamendi, Delph, Fernandinho, De Bruyne, D.Silva, Sterling, Aguero, Sane.
