Liverpool and Manchester City headed into the break with the scoreline reading 1-1 and all to play for in the second half. The Reds all but ended City's hopes of extending their unbeaten run with two stunning strikes.
The visitors were seeing more of the ball and Otamendi had even smacked the crossbar with a header, but the hosts managed to take the lead. Firmino shrugged off John Stones and lifted the ball over Ederson. It bounced in off the post.
