Latest Nike CR7 Mercurial boots unveiled
Nike have released chapter six of the CR7 signature boot designs to celebrate Ronald's role as captain of Portugal.
The latest design are a nod to Cristiano Ronaldo's captaincy for the World Cup. Previous editions have been released to celebrate highlights in the Real Madrid striker's career.
Ronaldo said, of being selected as Portugal's captain, ''to be captain of the Portugal national team makes me feel proud. Of course, it's great to be the leader of the team. I am one of the oldest players with more caps, more goals, more everything. I like to lead by example.''
The footwear reveal occurred shortly after the Portuguese World Cup squad kit was announced.
Speaking about representing his native country, Ronaldo said ''When you play for your country you want to win and defend your colours. When I play for Portugal, I feel good. Not just for myself but for my whole family and friends.''
The latest boots are named 'Born Leader' and will be first worn by the Portuguese striker in a friendly against Egypt on Friday.
