Laporte decided against Guardiola and future at City
Aymeric Laporte confessed he refused to join Manchester City despite Pep Guardiola calling him.
Aymeric joined Athletic Bilbao in 2012 from BAsconia but the youngster received this summer an irresistible offer from Manchester City.
The youngster has been eyed by several big clubs, one of them Manchester City. It's not a secret that Pep Guardiola tried to make the 22-year-old join his team this summer.
He confirmed 'RTL', Pep Guardiola called him in order to convince him. He's been impressed by "this nice person and good trainer". The French defender preferred to turn the offer down after long conversations "regarding his situation at Bilbao, his family and his friend", said the youngster.
