Granit Xhaka has hailed his team-mate Alexandre Lacazette after the striker's match winner against West Brom, but said he still wants to see more from him.

Lacazette's first brace for Arsenal continued his side's excellent home form as they dispatched West Brom 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium on Monday night.

The Frenchman proved his skills as an expert poacher as he reacted quickest to Ben Foster's save from Alexis Sanchez's free-kick to open the scoring, before adding a second from the penalty spot in the second half.

The double took the striker's tally to four goals in five starts since joining the Gunners in the summer, with all the goals coming at the Emirates.

Xhaka has been hugely impressed with the summer signing but has challenged Lacazette to score away from home as well.

"He's an important player for us," the Swiss midfielder told the club's website. "We know his qualities and you can see that he's ice-cold in front of goal. Now he needs to do the same away - then I'll be really pleased.

"I think the game against Chelsea gave us morale and self-belief. We gave a good performance [against West Brom], kept another clean sheet, which is really important for us and we're satisfied with the 2-0 scoreline.

"I think with these fans behind us, we can play with freedom.

"At home we're a force, you've seen that in the past and today, and we're pleased to have won at home. We need to make sure we do the same away from home."
