Kyle Walker is Manchester City's big doubt for the Champions League first leg against Real Madrid in a week's time.

Walker, injured at the Wanda Metropolitano, appeared at Wembley at the weekend with a heavy bandage on his ankle that prevented him from walking normally. But the Englishman is doubtful to play against Real Madrid in the first leg.

Pep Guardiola confirmed at a press conference that the England defender will miss the clash with Brighton & Hove Albion and that he does not know when Walker, a first-choice starter when fit, will be available again.

This could force Guardiola to play Joao Cancelo on the opposite flank, as he did in the first leg against Atletico Madrid, and to use Oleksandr Zinchenko, Nathan Ake or John Stones out of position on the left flank.

Kevin de Bruyne looks likely to be fit for the clash with 'Los Blancos'. The Belgian also pulled out of the Metropolitano with a niggle, but was among the substitutes in Saturday's FA Cup semi-final and, although he did not play because Guardiola did not see him ready yet, it seems he will have no problems to be fit for next week's clash with Madrid.

In addition, Ruben Dias, last season's Premier League Player of the Year, could get his first minutes on Tuesday after missing Manchester City's last nine games with a hamstring injury.
