With fans the world over eagerly looking forward to seeing the Portuguese take on his former employers for the first time with the 'Old Lady', Juve have move to confirm that match will not take place on American soil.

Ronaldo has been left out of the Juve squad for their pre-season International Champions Cup campaign to allow him extra time to rest following his involvement at the World Cup.

Juve face Real Madrid on August 5 as part of the competition. In total, 27 players have gone away with the Italian side, including new boys Mattia Perin, Joao Cancelo and Emre Can.

Ronaldo is not expected to return to training with the Italian side until the last week in July and can thus continue to enjoy his well-earned break in the meantime.
