Joao Felix, currently playing for Atletico Madrid, has confirmed that he will remain with Diego Simeone's side next season, despite Manchester City's interest in him.

In the last few hours, news of Manchester City's new interest in Joao Felix has come to light. However, the Atletico Madrid player has made it clear that he has no intention of leaving the Spanish club in this market.

"I am not considering leaving Atletico. I'm fine and focused on Atletico. I'm calm about the future," said the 22-year-old playmaker in an interview with the programme 'Maisfutebol'.

In the same vein, he said: "I'm aware of what I can do and I'm good with myself. I'm still on holiday. I've just started training to prepare for pre-season, but I'm not thinking too much about football.

For his part, Joao Félix spoke about his football present: "Of course I've grown. It's been four years since I left Benfica and I've grown physically, technically and mentally. It's normal to evolve. I've been doing the right things to improve.

"I never think about what I cost! I've always said that it's people who focus on those values. I never think about that, I just concentrate on my work," said the 'Colchonero' player.

Thus, despite City's interest, everything seems to indicate that the Portuguese will continue in Diego Simeone's team for next season. Even the 70 million that the English club could pay for his signature was not enough to convince him.
