Manchester City were defeated by Wolves this Sunday and Pep Guardiola gave his version of events.

"It was a bad day, sometimes it happens," Pep Guardiola said when analysing the development of the game. "We started quite well and then we allowed two situations with two lose balls in our creative area, and then we looked a little nervous," the couch highlighted.

About the difference with Liverpool, who are already eight points clear at the top of the table, the City coach realised that it is 'a lot'. "We have lost points for many reasons. But it's better to not think about this, it's better to think about what is coming," he declared.

"We lost against a good team. They are physical and strong, quick with the counterattack," Guardiola analysed after the defeat. "The gap is big, Liverpool haven't dropped points. Now is the time to come back. The results will dictate the situation, but we are in October and there is still a long way to go," he said.

Trusting in his team, Guardiola said: "It was a bad day, a bad game. Credit to the opponents. What happened, happened. I know these boys, they can do it."
