Ansu Fati, who has been called up by Luis Enrique for the Spain team, celebrated the news with an Instagram post. "Enormously proud to represent Spain at the World Cup. More than a dream! Come on," the Barcelona footballer wrote. He had been out for some time with an injury which had left him close to missing out on the World Cup.

Ansu Fati will represent Spain at the Qatar World Cup. The young Barcelona footballer, with injury problems since he had an operation on his knee which halted his progress as a Barcelona player, is in Luis Enrique's squad. He reacted on social media to the news and he made his feelings felt in a brief message.

"Enormously proud to represent Spain at the World Cup. More than a dream! Come on," he wrote together with an image of himself with the Spain shirt in which he had his left hand on his chest. The winger was one of the main doubts because of his past injuries and the possibility of him not being 100%.

Teammates like Pablo Torre and Alejandro Balde commented on his status to congratulate him. Precisely those two have been selected for Luis de la Fuente's Under 21 team. In particular, the full-back was in the running to make the squad given his performances in La Liga where he has left Hector Bellerin without a place in the team.

Spain coach Luis Enrique was asked in a press conference about Ansu Fati's fitness. He said that he was ready, so the end of this year and the start of the next seem exciting for him. If nothing goes wrong, he will be important for Spain in the World Cup and when he returns to Barca, he will be able to start regularly under Xavi Hernandez.
