Cristiano Ronaldo did not hold back when asked what winning a fifth Champions League would mean to him during Real Madrid's press day ahead of Saturday's final.

If Real were to emerge victorious against Liverpool at Kiev's Olympic Stadium, it would make Ronaldo the second most successful player in Europe, behind Francisco Gento (six).

Understandably, the Portuguese forward wants to increase his number of titles and was candidly honest when asked by reporters.

He said: "It would be a historic moment. We are excited as a team. I see what is happening this week. We are not aware of what we can do, winning three in-a-row. Better not to have it. So we can focus on the game.

"Personally, I feel good, I feel my team-mates are fine. If I win a fifth [Champions League], it would be the sh**"

Reviewing his performances in the competition as a whole, Ronaldo believes he's played "well".

He continued: " Against Bayern [Munich], Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus... To win you have to play with the best in the world. They are all special.

"In this club, I always live special moments. Last year the same, against Atletico [Madrid] for example. Something happens in this competition and this year it happened with Juve (the bicycle kick). It was a spectacular season for me in the Champions League.

Turning his attention to Real's opponents, Liverpool, Ronaldo insisted that they must treat them with "respect" as it won't be an easy final.

He concluded: "Liverpool remind me of Real Madrid three years ago, with the top three, who have scored many goals. We have to respect them. But I think [we] are better, we have to trust in that.

"At a collective level we can make history and it could be a special moment. We have to play well, trust, and have our experience".
