Spain coach Luis de la Fuente faced the press ahead of the match against Turkey, and admitted he was proud to have players like Alvaro Morata at his disposal.

Spain will conclude this international break with their second match against Turkey. Manager Luis de la Fuente spoke to the press to preview the clash.

First, the coach sent his best wishes to Luis Enrique after his recent cycling accident: "I want to send a hug and my best wishes for a speedy recovery to Luis Enrique. All my support".

"The decision must be made at the last moment. We have to see the training session and the sensations. Fatigue, knocks... We will assess. Ferran is training very well and is a safe bet. He has total and absolute confidence."

"We expect an atmosphere as it should be: a country fully behind their national team. Rodrigo put it very well. We come from playing a European Championship against the host nation Germany in very hostile environments of this calibre. We are prepared."

"I rate him highly. He celebrated 400 games with Real Sociedad this week. How can you not acknowledge that? He is very reliable. We have many options to play at '9' and many characteristics. Ferran, Olmo, Morata... we have fantastic quality players."

"We are going to see the training session... but they are in perfect condition. They can start the match, or not... The most important news is that they are here to give us much joy. It could be tomorrow or next month. They have to continue their development."

On Le Normand and his recent mistakes: "I am very happy with Robin, delighted. I think he is one of the best centre-backs in Europe. I think he is exceptional. When we chose him, we knew who he was. He is very competitive, focused; he is a specialist. Our maxim is to start eleven and finish eleven. An expulsion can leave you out of a qualification. But we like Robin a lot, he does what he has to do and what I ask him to do."

De la Fuente also spoke about Morata's role in the national team: "I have not given him an explanation. He knows what his role is. He is just another player and will have more minutes depending on the game plan and how we want to play. He is very important to us. It is true that he has a different connotation, but he is our captain. He must have all the honours of a country. I feel emotion and pride in having players like him in the national team."

The comparison between Lamine Yamal and Arda Güler: "I have the pride and privilege of coaching, in my opinion, with all due respect to the other national teams, of coaching the best. But there are many things that we have to improve and continue to grow. We are prepared because there is a lot of room for improvement. Both are great players with their characteristics with their projection. Both very good. We have Lamine, who gives us so much joy. A boy eager to continue growing and improving, with ambition."

"It has a lot to do with culture and training. At 18 years old I was given the opportunity to play in La Liga. With good players you don't look at their ID card, with confidence. That is what we try to do in the national team. The players in Espana are fantastic and perform at the highest level with total guarantee," he continued.
