In an interview with Barcelona's official website, Luis Suarez has opened up about a variety of topics, including what it's like playing with Lionel Messi, his lack of form of late and how far Ousmane Dembele can go in the game.

Suarez hasn't been enjoying his best run of form of late, scoring just three goals in 14 games so far this season but the Uruguayan insists he is doing all he can to improve his tally.

"I still have the desire to want to help the team. I can't just throw in the towel," he explained. "I'm the first person to criticise myself when when I'm not playing well and I'm well aware that I can score more goals, it's just that sometimes the ball just won't go in.

"Every game is difficult in its own way. This year we're learning how to get something out of games where the opposition are on top.

"Good runs of form make us stronger as a group and give us confidence in each other."

Naturally, Suarez was asked about his experience of playing alongside Lionel Messi and he was full of praise for the Argentine.

"It's definitely an advantage to have the best player in the world," he admitted. "For me it is a privilege to play alongside him and to rub shoulders with him both as a player and a person.

"The things he can do are remarkable, he can do anything."

Whilst he was also asked about youngster Ousmane Dembele.

"He's a young player with a lot of quality and talents. We all want to see him get back fit becasue we need him," said the 30-year-old.

"It's never easy joining a new club and getting injured straight away like he did but the most important thing is your attitude and desire to retun.

The Uruguay international appears to be enjoying life under Ernesto Valverde, saying: "Valverde trusts us all for what we bring to the team and that is impotant. We have a good relationship with the coaching staff, they understand us as players and they spread an air of calm."

Finally, Surez revealed that he is looking forward to playing at next summer's World Cup.

"It would be incredible to be able to participate and contribute, I'm really looking forward to it. My first aim is to have a good season and try to win as many trophies as possible with Barca."
