The Manchester derby will take place on foreign soil for the first time in 136 years, and both sides head into the fixture with new faces and contrasting styles.

Manchester United and Manchester City will go head to head in Houston in the early hours of Friday morning for the first derby between the two clubs across the pond, and a clash that will see millions of pounds lined up on the pitch.

Jose Mourinho has insisted the fixture is merely a 'competitive training session', but it could have potentially season-defining consequences, especially for the losing side.

The Portuguese manager could make use of his new forward duo if he decides to line up both Romelu Lukaku and Marcus Rashford. 'I think what I can learn from him and what we can learn from each other is when we play together. It is getting the relationship off the pitch and bringing it on to the pitch', the English youngster said, eager to build a partnership with Lukaku.

Kyle Walker could make his debut for the Citizens while Ederson could start in goal. Bernardo Silva is not yet at Guardiola's disposal, but the former Barca coach could experiment with Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus up front.

Possible lineups for the Manchester derby in Houston:

Manchester United: Romero, Darmian, Bailly, Lindelof, Blind, Carrick, Pogba, Herrera, Martial, Lukaku, Rashford.

Manchester City: Ederson, Walker, Kompany, Stones, Kolarov, Fernandinho, Toure, De Bruyne, Silva, Jesus, Aguero.
