Juventus' Gonzalo Higuain is known to be one of Europe's most feared strikers and he made Spurs aware of that fact when he volleyed the Italians in front inside two minutes in Tuesday's Champions League last-16 clash.

It was described pre-match as the biggest game of the English club's season, but with just two minutes gone Spurs found themselves behind in Turin.

A sloppy piece of defending gave the hosts an early free-kick and Miralem Pjanic deftly dinked the ball into the path of Higuain, who volleyed past Hugo Lloris first time on the turn from the edge of the box.

It was a fine finish, with the Juventus faithful barely able to contain their excitement.
