Gonzalo Higuain got sent off for the first time since moving to the MLS when he saw a straight red following the match with Montreal Impact. The reason was that the Argentine used abusive language towards the referee.

A day after Montreal Impact played Inter Miami, the Professional Referees Association (PRO) confirmed that he saw a straight red card after the game

According to the referee's organisation, Higuain was heading towards the dressing room when Tim Ford, the match referee, asked him to come over so that he could send him off.

The reason the official gave was that the Argentinian striker used "offensive, insulting and abusive language" towards him. The striker will miss the match against Orlando.

Higuain has not ended up getting comfortable in the MLS. The former Real Madrid man has got just one goal and one assist, but is confident in turning the situation around. According to 'Sport', Inter Miami could appeal the dismissal.
