Tottenham's victory over Newcastle on Sunday propelled them into fourth position in the Premier League. Harry Kane played a serious part in this, even though he did not score himself. Since Conte's arrival at the club, Kane has been enjoying a rich vein of form.
And the praise keeps coming for the Englishman. David Ginola was the last person to wax lyrically about the striker on 'Sky Sports': "He's like the new Maradona. Long passes, short passes, he has it all".
"For a player of his calibre, playing year-in, year-out, just to be in the top four, it's not enough", he said about Kane, who was on the brink of signing for Manchester City last summer and could well be a Sky Blue after the close of the next window.
"If he's got propositions in the future to play with clubs who will challenge for and win trophies, that's where he could [leave]. At the end of your career, what you look at is the list of trophies that you won", added Ginola, ex Tottenham player.
Kane's performances have gone over and above just the goals he has scored. He has the most assists for Spurs with seven. He has scored 22 goals this season in 42 appearances across all competitions.
