The 17-year-old, who became the second-youngest player to ever start a Premier League game, is reportedly on the wish list of the incoming Manchester City manager

It is being reported that Pep Guardiola, the incoming Manchester City manager, is looking to swoop in to take West Ham's highly-rated youngster Reece Oxford this summer.

The Daily Mail have reported that Oxford is one of Manchester City's transfer priorities along with Everton centre-back John Stones, as City look to bring in defensive reinforcements.

West Ham are not looking to let the 17-year-old leave, and are ready to offer him a new and improved contract to keep him at the club, despite the fact he is already the highest paid 17-year-old in the clubs history.

Despite the fact he is obviously a great talent, it is believed that City could also be encouraged to sign Oxford with the Premier League's 'homegrown quota' in mind.
