Pep Guardiola emphasised the importance of Oscar Bobb to Manchester City, praising the youngster’s standout display in the 4-0 win over Wolves and admitting the team sorely missed him last season.

Pep Guardiola acknowledged Oscar Bobb's influence after the Norwegian's brilliant performance in the 0-4 victory over Wolves. Guardiola admitted that, after seeing him in action, he realised how much he had missed Bobb last season.

"Now I realise when I saw him in the first half and the second I realise how much we missed him last season," said the Manchester City manager. The young winger, who missed much of last season through injury, returned to competition with an outstanding performance and an assist for Reijnders' goal.

Guardiola praised his speed, defensive discipline and ability to be dangerous in tight spaces. The Spanish coach expressed his happiness at the player's return and his expectation that he will remain healthy throughout the season.

"Hopefully he can be healthy. All I ask for him is to be healthy and strong in his head and I'm pretty sure he is going to help us in that position." Guardiola also highlighted the fundamental role of City's Academy in developing talents such as Bobb.
