Pep Guardiola is not happy with his squad. The Manchester City coach forbade his players from going to the club's Christmas party.

This Thursday, Manchester City held their traditional Christmas party with all the club's employees. However, there were no first-team players present there.

According to the 'Daily Mail', the reason for this was that Guardiola forbade all his footballers from going to the event. A disciplinary measure for the recent results and defeats that they have achieved in the past year.

In 2018, Manchester City players were present at the club's party. Previously, some footballers even went to a club until the early hours, before going ot training later in the day. Subsequently, at Christmas time, the City lost two games.

It is for this reason that Guardiola preferred to punish his players. Manchester City's situation in the Premier League is critical and they find themselves far away from league leaders Liverpool.

On Sunday, the players celebrated Raheem Sterling's 25th birthday. The footballers have a themed party about 'The Great Gatsby'. What's not clear is whether they'll throw their own Christmas party.
