Jack Grealish is rediscovering his form after a tough final season at Manchester City and a summer move in search of regular playing time. He seems to have found that opportunity at Everton.
After a brief cameo against Leeds United, the Birmingham native made his first start for the Toffees and marked the occasion with a brace of assists.
In the 23rd minute against Brighton, Grealish made a brilliant run down the left, cutting inside before delivering a perfect cross for Iliman Ndiaye to tap in, giving Everton the lead.
Just after halftime, in the 52nd minute, Grealish provided another assist, this time for James Garner, who drilled home a powerful shot from the edge of the box to double Everton's advantage.
Grealish’s last start for City came on April 27 against Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup semi-final, and his most recent goal involvement was on April 2 against Leicester. His last assist in the Premier League came almost a year ago, on September 28, 2024, against Newcastle.
