The French player Gaël Clichy has gone from being among the top clubs in England to being on trial right now at Swiss club Servette, where he has been training for a week.

At 35 years of age, Clichy's career is about to undergo another change. After being released after finishing his link with Istanbul Basaksehir, the Frenchman is on his way to play in Switzerland.

Servette, which competes in the country's top-flight, confirmed through official channels that the player is on trial with the team and has been training for a week.

"I am grateful to Servette for the welcome and the possibility they give me to keep fit in a competitive group, being close to my family in Geneva," said the footballer.

The last time Clichy played was on 5 August at a Copenhagen-Istanbul Basaksehir, so he has not played a match for more than three months.

The career of this footballer is quite short as far as teams are concerned: Cannes, Arsenal, Manchester City and Istanbul Basaksehir. It is not yet known if Servette will give him a contract.

The full-back has won nine titles to date: three Premier League, one FA Cup, two League Cups, two Community Shields and one Turkish Super League.
