First Champions League start for Guardiola's golden boy
Manchester City hope to end the Champions League group stage with a 100 per cent record in Ukraine, and Guardiola has given boy wonder Phil Foden the chance to shine from the start.
Pep Guardiola is always keen on giving youngsters a chance and decided to hand the 17-year-old his first start for Manchester City in search of a win to extend their unbeaten run so far this season.
The Spanish coach made several changes to the squad, most noticeably the England Under-17 star who lifted the World Cup trophy in said category earlier this year.
Foden and Brahim are two examples of young unpolished talent who have convinced Guardiola. In Ukraine, it was the English teenager's turn to prove himself.
