FIFA have announced on Friday that they will not investigate further Neymar's complaint over an unpaid Barcelona bonus during his stint at the Catalan club.

The Brazil international caused quite the stir when he demanded that his former employers be expelled from the Champions League after they refused to pay the bonus to his father.

However, FIFA have closed their investigation into the incident after legal action was taken elsewhere over the complaint.

In an interview with 'Sky Sports', a spokesperson for football's governing body said: "After having been made aware that, apparently, the same matter had been submitted in parallel before different jurisdictions, by the same party, the FIFA administration informed the parties to the dispute that, based on the long-standing and well-established jurisprudence of FIFA's deciding bodies, it did not seem to be in a position to continue with the investigation of the affair".

He concluded: "The proceedings were therefore closed for formal reasons."

Nonetheless, given that FIFA confirmed that there is other legal action into the complaint, it seems as if we haven't heard the end to this saga just yet...
