Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola appeared in the press room after the Cityzens 1-0 win over Leicester and praised De Bruyne for his goal and the great game he played.
City, despite being without Haaland against Leicester, did well to take all three points thanks to a superb goal from De Bruyne (0-1). The Belgian was the hero for his team, who played somewaht poorly and showed that they are finding it harder to control games than expected.
Guardiola, already in the press room, explained the relationship he has with De Bruyne, whom he congratulated for his direct free-kick goal and for his great game: "Kevin needs movement. You have to get the ball moving and not stop, not stand still in one position.
"And he was back. He was there because, after all, we need him. It's not that he can't do it, because it's seven seasons together. Except for sleeping together, we've done everything. Everything. So that's why I know him quite well," he added.
De Bruyne once again proved that he is a key player for City and for Guardiola. His goal keeps the Sky Blues in the fight with Arsenal for the Premier League lead.
