Everton celebrate the one and only goal of the game: Everton

Everton edged past Stoke City thanks to a Shay Given own goal.

Everton had two attempts which were cleared off the line from Stoke, who are yet to register their first win of the season.

The Toffees then got a penalty when Ashley Williams was fouled by Phil Bardsley. Leighton Baines took the spot kick which hit the post, but then bounced of Shay Given's head and went in.

Stoke's best chance of the game fell to Marko Arnatutovic who hit the crossbar, but Koeman's side managed to see out the game and win the three points.
