Dele Alli will be a part of Gareth Southgate's England squad to be announced later today, despite the possibility of missing both upcoming World Cup qualifiers through suspension.

The Tottenham midfielder made a controversial middle finger gesture during the World Cup qualifier against Slovakia and the FA will hear the verdict of the FIFA hearing over the incident on Thursday, although the punishment may not be clear for another 48 hours.

According to the 'Daily Mail', Gareth Southgate will include Alli in his squad, despite the fact that he could be ineligible for the next week's games against Slovenia and Lithuania.

A three game ban would also rule the 21-year-old out from the start of next summer's World Cup campaign, should England secure their qualification.

Even if Alli cannot play, Southgate wants him to be part of the squad given his status as a key player for England.

The selection could also indicate that the FA are confident of having their influential midfielder available for at least one of next week's matches.
