The Spanish FA announced on Tuesday the decisions of the Competition Comitee regarding sanctions from gameweek three. Emerson has been banned for one game.

The Competition Committee of the Spanish FA (RFEF) has given a one-match ban to the Brazilian Betis player Emerson Leite De Souza after the straight red card he received against Real Madrid (2-3) at the Benito Villamarín.

Emerson saw red in the 67th minute after a challenge on Madrid's Luka Jovic that was initially considered offside, only for the decision to be overturned by VAR and the player to be sent off with the scores level at 2-2.

The RFEF also announced the other decisions of the Competition Committee on Tuesday, banning Cadiz's physio, Miguel Angel Campos, for three games after he was sent off in the 90th minute of their game with Sevilla (1-3).

One of the match bans is for insults, threats, and provocations and the other two are for disparaging or inconsiderate behaviour towards the referees.

The Committee punished Enrique Sanz, a coach for Celta Vigo, with a two-match ban, after he was sent off in the 90th minute of their match against Valladolid (1-1) for arguing with the referee.
