Roma striker Edin Dzeko has revealed he would be keen on returning to the Premier League, though believes it may be too late into his career.

Dzeko, 32, won the league twice during his five seasons with Manchester City, becoming a fan favourite amongst the 'Citizens'. The striker bagged 72 goals in 189 appearances for City.

The Bosnia-Herzegovina captain looked set to leave Roma for Chelsea in January, though negotiations fell through at the last minute and the 'Blues' opted for Arsenal's Olivier Giroud.

Since joining Roma, Dzeko has been vital up front with 78 goals in all competitions and remains "happy" with his role in the side.

Speaking to 'Sky Sports', Dzeko remarked: "Regarding the Premier League, maybe it's too late. You never know.

"I had four-and-a-half great years there, and had fun every minute of every game. I love the Premier League and England, so we'll see. At the moment I'm happy in Rome."

Dzeko and Bosnia-Herzegovina face Northern Ireland in the Nations League on Monday and is targeting another three points.

"I definitely expect a tough game like it was in Ireland. But I expect us to play a little better and get the same result.

"Ireland played very good in the first game and we were a little bit lucky to win. Hopefully we can play better in front of our own fans this time and get the win."
