Dunfermline first title winners in Britain
Dunfermline Athletic have become the first club in British football to win their league this season after securing the Scottish League One title.
The Scottish side went into their game on Saturday knowing a win over Brechin and a defeat for closest challengers Peterhead to Cowdenbeath would crown them as the Champions.
The side comfortably beat Brechin 3-1, which was an expected result, however Peterhead's defeat to second-bottom Cowdenbeath definitely wasn't an expected result.
The side now move up to the Scottish Championship following a three year spell in the third tier of Scottish football.
