Didier Drogba has praised French striker Kylian Mbappe as already being a complete striker at the age of just 19.

The PSG forward played a decisive role in his national side's 4-3 win over Argentina in their World Cup last-16 match.

He won the penalty which Antoine Griezmann converted in the first half and then scored the 2 decisive goals, with the match drawn at 2-2 before his intervention, in just 4 minutes to send Lionel Messi's Argentina team home from Russia.

Speaking to the 'BBC', the former Ivory Coast international said: "He has everything. He is the complete striker at 19."

Alan Shearer, the fomer England captain, held a similar view to his fellow striker, praising the teenager's pace, technique and finishing ability.

The performance was praised from all quarters, with comparisons with one of the greatest players to ever play the game, Pele, coming from some. Mbappe is the first teenager to score twice in a World Cup knockout game since the Brazilian legend, but former Germany striker Jurgen Klinsmann believes that he needs to stay humble if he is to fulfil his potential as a player.

"There is so much potential in him. You can only hope that he stays with his feet on the ground but there is a lot to come from him."

France will play their quarter final match on Friday in Nizhny Novogrod.
