Angel di Maria completed training with the Argentina national team and will be ready to play in the quarter-final against the Netherlands. The Juventus player did not play against Australia because of a quadriceps discomfort.

Angel di Maria returned to training with Argentina after overcoming the discomfort that began in the last group game against Poland. The winger withdrew with an overload in the quadriceps of his right leg.

Good news for Lionel Scaloni, as he will be able to count on the Juventus player for the decisive quarter-final against the Netherlands after beating the 'Socceroos' 2-1.

However, Alejandro 'Papu' Gomez will remain out of the squad due to the sprain he suffered in the round of 16. According to the player himself, he ended up "very sore", but stressed that "it's nothing serious".

Other players were less fortunate, such as Alex Telles, who suffered a partial tear of the medial lateral ligament in his knee, and Thomas Delaney, who suffered a blow to his knee and had to leave the training camp with Brazil and Denmark respectively.
