Things are going well for Manchester City at the moment, the club are racking up win after win and look set to end the campaign with a significant amount of silverware under their arm. The thrashing of Leicester on Saturday was another reminder of just how dangerous City can be, though many people were left discussing what happened to the match ball after a curious exchange between Kevin De Bruyne and Sergio Aguero.

The incident in question was captured following the full-time whistle. As City's players congratulated each other on their victory, the camera centred on striker Sergio Aguero, very much the hero of the piece after scoring four of City's five goals.

By Aguero's side was the match ball, traditionally given as a trophy if a player scores a hat-trick in a match.

Then, from nowhere came Kevin De Bruyne. The Belgian saw his team mate carrying his trophy and quickly stole it from the unwitting Argentine.

De Bruyne had laid on three of Aguero's four goals, something which he clearly feld deserved some credit.

Ironcially, Aguero's best goal of the day was not the fruit of a De Bruyne assist, but rather Phil Foden's first in professional football.

There was no malice in the action though, as both player could soon be seen chuckling away to each other as they thrived in their success.
